The Monitor Group
The Monitor Group is an international strategy consulting firm with offices in 26 countries around the world. Monitor is structured as a group of professional services firms linked by shared ownership, management philosophy and assets. Each group company is dedicated to providing products and services which fundamentally enhance the competitiveness of clients.
One of the group companies, The Monitor Institute, has been closely associated with Social Capital Partners since its inception in early 2001. The Monitor Institute seeks to collaborate with original, adventurous organizations whose moral purpose is aligned with their own and whose goals, when realized, will make a materially positive, measurable impact on humankind.
Over the years Monitor consultants have provided pro bono services on special projects with SCP's portfolio organizations in areas such as strategy, marketing, operations and finance. Monitor consultants for example worked with Renaissance - part of the Goodwill Industries network - in Montreal to understand and improve their donation value chain and logistics management system. In fall 2008, Monitor engaged with SCP directly to analyze a new strategic opportunity for our organization to engage Canadian companies in our social hiring program without our financing. We are very fortunate to have this ongoing partnership with the Monitor Institute.
